Mildred Campbell Christmas, Willie Kay’s granddaughter, wore this dress to her June 28, 1969 wedding. In 1964, Mildred Otey Taylor, Mildred Campbell’s namesake, made her debutante dress. Willie Kay took lace from that debutante dress and incorporate it into the wedding dress. North Carolina Museum of History Collection.
